Iconic German duo Booka Shade—Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier—have long been central to electronic music, rising from Frankfurt’s synth-pop scene to global acclaim. Founders of the legendary dance label Get Physical Music, their breakout hits like "Body Language" catapulted them to stardom.

With memorable performances at Sónar, Coachella, and Glastonbury, Booka Shade has gained a reputation for groundbreaking live shows, including recognition as one of Resident Advisor’s Top 5 live acts in 2010. Known for their genre-blending appeal, they’ve headlined festivals from Montreux Jazz to Lollapalooza and remixed top artists like Depeche Mode, Moby, and Hot Chip.

Their Blaufield Music label, launched in 2013, showcases emerging talent and their own music, often topping Beatport charts. Collaborations with Dolby, including Grammy-nominated immersive audio projects, highlight their innovative spirit. Twenty years, nine albums, and countless EPs later, Booka Shade continues to define electronic music’s essence.
