Fontaines D.C.’s fourth album, ROMANCE, explores love, identity, and reality, with Grian Chatten reflecting on the idea that “maybe romance is a place.” The 11-track album builds on the band’s previous record Skinty Fia, blending grungier textures, hip-hop beats, shoegaze, and electronic sounds. Influences range from Shygirl to old Hollywood soundtracks, and it was produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Blur) in a French chateau.
Released on August 23 via XL Recordings, ROMANCE has received rave reviews, surpassing Skinty Fia's first-week sales and earning five-star acclaim from NME, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone UK. Elton John recently praised them as “the best band out there.”
Following standout summer festival performances, Fontaines D.C. announced a 45,000-capacity headline show at Finsbury Park in August 2025, along with a 26,000-capacity show in Manchester. Their world tour continues throughout 2024 with sold-out dates across North America, Europe, the UK, and Ireland.
