Patrick Wolf returns with his highly anticipated seventh studio album, Crying The Neck. Inspired by themes of loss, renewal, and the myths of the East English coastline, the album blends intimate reflections with powerful musical arrangements. Recorded in Ramsgate, Kent, it marks a creative new chapter for the artist.

Crying The Neck is the first in a four-part album series, following the seasonal cycle of a Celtic Wheel of the Year. Musically and thematically, it bridges past and future. The album's title refers to an ancient harvest ritual, which for Wolf became a symbol of personal transformation.

The first single, Dies Irae, explores the cycle of life and was inspired by the loss of his mother. Reculver continues this theme— a piece Wolf first began writing at the age of 16 and has now completed. Collaborations with artists such as Zola Jesus and Serafina Steer add further depth to the album.

With poetic intensity and musical expansiveness, Crying The Neck explores the connection between personal experience and collective history. Patrick Wolf continues his artistic journey while opening new creative chapters.
